The Primary Review Process
1. How will I be matched to a patient?
- You will be matched through our proprietary algorithm, taking into account your availability and clinical expertise.
2. What is the process for accepting a patient’s case for review?
- If your clinical specialty matches a patient’s request, then an email will be sent to you to accept or deny the request.
3. What are the main steps for reviewing a patient’s case?
- Verify that all necessary documents required for the review have been submitted.
- Our office staff will do the same.
- Choose one of the provided templates for your review
- Complete the review within 72hrs of acceptance
- Once you have submitted a report to the portal and it has been sent out to the patient, pick a time slot provided by the patient to conduct a 30-minute video conference to discuss your findings. The video conference concludes the review process.
4. Do I need to have a video conference with the patient after completing the review?
- A video conference provides a human touch and is necessary to conclude the review process.
5. What if I’m unable to complete a case on time?
- This should be the exception. We are confident that the platform allows for a review to be performed within 72 hours. A delay may occur if the patient fails to upload the necessary documents. Our staff will make every effort to obtain these records before a case gets assigned.
6. What should I avoid when reviewing a patient’s case?
- Delays
- Subjective comments
- Incomplete reports
7. What if additional information is needed to complete the review?
- Once a case is assigned to you, our staff has already screened the documents submitted for completion.
- If you require additional documents or information, you can request them directly from the patient through our portal.
- You will be informed by email as soon as the patient uploads the missing documents.
- Generally, you should be able to complete a report within 72 hours with the provided documents.
- Additional documents are rarely needed.
The Secondary Review Process
1. What is the process for reviewing a patient’s follow-up exam?
- We are trying to match the primary reviewing physician with a follow-up exam, but we can’t guarantee it.
- The patient uploads new results, which will have to be compared with the previous exams on the portal.
- The 72-hour timeline also counts, but the report is focused and shorter. You will be able to choose an appropriate template inside the portal.
