Squamous cell carcinoma

It has been really tough to get correctly diagnosed. Some doctors only do a CBC blood test and quick physical exam, ask a few questions and say I'm fine and send me home. The first dermatologist took a biopsy and it came back as basal cell but did not look at the rest of my skin. Another dermatologist found 2 other small basal cells with the dermascope on my back, shoulders, and lower neck and removed them. In the meantime I have other symptoms like a sore throat, lump in my throat, swollen lymph nodes under my arm, weak arms, ear pain, muscle twitching. I am afraid it is possibly cancer that has spread. I am learning how hard it is to get an accurate diagnosis.

Chemo meds and body/joint aches and pains

My fiancé was diagnosed in 2023 with PC and just started chemo. Since the first chemo treatment, he has begun to experience total body and joint pain (from his neck to the bottom of his feet). Does this pain get worse or better with each treatment round? Does anyone have any pointers as to what worked for them to lower pain using any alternative therapies? He has a high pain threshold and OTC medicines typically don’t work well for him in addressing pain.

Could someone help me understand what these ultrasound results mean? I had an abdominal ultrasound and the results show that I have a hyperechoic avascular lesion in my liver in the right lobe adjacent to the gallbladder fossa. I had my gallbladder removed 7 years ago. Another ultrasound re-scan has been recommended to see if it’s changed at all.

Non small cell cancer vs small cell cancer

Need good gynecologic oncologist

My CT/MRI showed ovarian malignancy on right kidney. This is after I had a kidney cancer removed back in 2020 (clean since then). Part of the kidney was removed, yet it's still functional. This new picture developed just since my last scans in the spring of 2022. My primary physician has not been helpful with referrals/support, and said he's booked for the next two weeks or so. There is no one to hold my hand and guide me through next steps, just Google. I'm hoping to learn from someone's first hand experience who they feel is the best in this field in our area, excellent with communication, and who has an encouraging track record with patients, especially with advanced stage disease.

Blood in Stool

For the last few months or so, I have seen small amounts of blood in my stool (on and off). In the last few days, my groin has started feeling dull pain - and when I massage both sides of my groin, it appears that I have several swollen lymph nodes. There also have been loose stools and small amount of blood usually at the end of the bowel movement. Is this anal cancer??

Hair loss

I am suffering from hair loss due to chemo despite trying the Nioxin products. The first chemo was adriamycin/cytoxin and the second round was taxotere. Any possible solutions that anyone is aware of other than wigs?

I am currently on anastrozole and have chosen to use natural supplements to fight some of the side effects. When I shared my choice with my oncologist, he did not express concern. But I wanted to be sure. Can certain supplements cause complications?
